Takeda... Hm. Hard to say, really. Half of the voices in the show aren't what I expected from characters, so... yeah.

Even though all Ryouzanpaku masters are awesome, Shigure exceeds them by just a tiny bit, making her my fav She's seconded by Apachai, partly because of his character, partly because he's using the one martial art that I've trained and I know it's as effective as portrayed

On the other hand, I found myself very irritated at how Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu was portrayed during the D of D. Seriously, WTF? They had no other martial art to be grounded by the pankration team? Capoeira, for example, which is flashy and ineffective in the real fight? Maybe the creator thought it'd be boring and/or too hard to portray BJJ fights?

Yeah I had the same reaction when I watched some parts of the anime. I never got myself to watching the whole series I just checked out the parts I really wanted to see animated like when Kenichi pulled that trick with using his Master's styles while fighting Odin.

Yeah Shigure is both beautiful and cool, it's quite cute how she is so weak in interacting with people and congratulates herself after making speeches XD I'm feeling really sorry for her that Kenichi doesn't want to use weapons. On the other hand, isn't it a bit suspicious that the blade she regained while giving Kenichi z Fear-Management training wasn't destroyed ?? I have this gut feeling that that sword will one day become Kenichi's. Also I wonder if she Really have some feelings for Kenichi, heh I loved the scene in one of the recent chapters when Li Raichi said that "She still have chance" which made Miu realize that she gaining more and more competition XD

Well, not that effective, but it's a good, strong, reliable martial art with little to no unnecessary shit in it. And yes - it can be lethal. It's not designed to fool around.

That fight was cool, yet iaijutsu with 1,3 m long katana on the back is impossible, and even with such long arms highly improbable...

Ongoing manga problem. Two main protagonists love each other, yet are too dumb/dense/cowardly to say that and live happily ever after. Irritating. I hope they get it on soon, it's been going for long enough to be quite bemusing. It'd be five minutes with Darius in there, for God's sake "You, idiot, you love Miu, check. You, boobalicious, you love Kenchi, right? YES, you fucking do, would you stop lying to yourself, fuckindammit, check. Then what's the fucking problem, kiss, hug and reproduce already while I pound the reality into Gramps over there."

BJJ is all about infighting, without the gi it's called "submission wrestling" Fighting on the ground, chokeholds, strangleholds, submission hold on joints, quick and effective ways to dispose of an opponent. Hard to fight with a broken kneecap, right? Or with a Mataleo stranglehold, properly made it needs about 5 seconds to make the opponent doze out. Ehh... BJJ was literally raped in this manga. I think it's both, you see Nijima had no respect for Kenichi in the beginning but after some time, when he observed that a "worm" like Kenichi could achieve this much, I think he developed respect for him. Also it seems that Siegfried have good influence on him, remember how he said that Nijima shouldn't use such cowardly methods as blackmailing ?? And of course he is aware that pretty much any of his "generals" could turn him into very small and very sad pile of tormented meat in matter of seconds XD

Certainly he is like Jack Rakan of the Kenichi (read the spoiler stuff about Rakan on my other poster, this guy is RIDICULOUS)

When I saw Sakaki and how he reacted to being called "Sensei" I went "WHOA That's the first male Tsundere I ever saw" XD Guy gives a harsh and rough front but inside he is soft, nice and cares the most about Kenichi's safety, he also worries the most when Kenichi can get injured.

Yeeees Shigure is highly amusing, well she was bought up the way she was brought up so you can't really expect her to be extremely sociable, but her problem is merely not being able to express emotions cause deep down there is probably a lot of emotions, I loved her reaction to Kenichi's impersonation of her during the fight with Odin she was authentically happy. Not to mention the way she handled Valkyries with that wooden spoon XD She IS a prodigy of weapons All Right. Mhm there might be a LOT of hidden meaning in those words I wonder if she really have feelings for Kenichi as Miu once suspected

Well that's when Rule of Cool comes into play, I was a little shocked when that big guy cut apart one of the bounty hunters WITHOUT realizing it, that's what I call reflexes.

[Is laughing his ass off] Oh Oh that description reminds me of David Eddings' Mallorean XD If you never read it here is the story. There is a powerful knight Mandorallen, a beautiful noblewoman and her husband. The problem was that Mandorallen and noblewoman fell in love with each other but they didn't went anywhere past talking and it wasn't even lovey-dovey talking because they respected and loved the old guy who was noblewoman's husband. Anyway, couple of years later old guy died and through some troubles protagonist (Belgarion) was trying to make them marry each other, but they Kept piling up problems, procedures and so on and so forth. What did Belgarion do ?? He took out his Flaming Sword (literal flaming sword) and pretty much SCARED the noblewoman into Marrying the knight XD You ask why didn't he scare the knight ?? The guy can stand in front of a ARMY, ALONE and say (seriously) that he might experience slight difficulties in defeating it, and he is serious he really thinks that he can win. Anyway I wonder if it would be Darius pounding into Gramps or the other way around :-P Besides I don't think that Gramps have anything against Kenichi's going out with Miu
